Connection method between charging station CS and charging station management system CSMS
Commercial charging stations: There are two connection methods for charging stations (CS), both of which are based on their own charging station management system (CSMS) and provide a unified solution for communication between charging stations and charging station management systems through the OCPP protocol (protocol versions 1.6J, 1.6 or 2.0).
1) Wired connection: Ethernet
Each charging station (CS) is connected to the charging station management center (CSMS) via fiber optic Ethernet connection
Advantages: Stable connection and large data transmission volume
Disadvantages: cumbersome wiring, large workload, and high cost
2) Wireless connection: 4G (WiFi means 4G)
Each charging station (CS) comes with a 4G card module, connected to the charging station management center (CSMS)
Advantages: No wiring required, simple operation, saving a lot of costs
Disadvantage: In some places, the 4G signal is unstable and may disconnect. Using mobile data also requires payment of internal operator data fees
Please note that the protocol for foreign 4G cards is different from that for domestic ones. If the customer requires a 4G connection method, please send a local 4G traffic card to us. We need to debug it before shipping. In addition, in some countries, the 4G network is unstable, and it is necessary to first confirm with the customer whether there are charging stations connected to 4G in China, and the effectiveness of their use.
