AC charging for new energy vehicles

Aug 10, 2023 Leave a message

AC charging, as the name suggests, refers to the direct use of 220V AC power from the grid to connect the vehicle to charge the vehicle. Some public places will have AC car charging piles, and if you charge at home, there will generally be a small charging box, generally portable, floor-mounted, and wall-mounted. These two are the most common AC charging scenarios.

The AC charging device is supplied to the vehicle with 220V alternating current, and the power battery is high-voltage DC power above 350V, so to complete this charging process, there must be an on-board device to achieve DC-AC inverter and boost, and this on-board device is called on-board charger (OBC).
