Common problems with current reduction in charging piles

The reasons for the current reduction can be divided into the following points:

❶ Module heating
When the module is used continuously for a long time, the current reduction will occur due to heating, resulting in reduced charging efficiency. There is actually no good solution to this situation. The most important thing is the design of the equipment manufacturer. From the appearance, the charging piles basically look the same, but the difference in internal design will lead to a big difference in the experience of our operators.
In this regard, the ventilation and heat dissipation design of the charging pile is very important, and operators cannot blindly choose charging pile manufacturers. In addition, it is recommended that you try to choose a ventilated and cool environment to install the charging pile.

❷ Gun line heating
After using the gun line for a long time, most of the gun heads will heat up. The heating of the gun head cannot be generally considered to be a problem with the quality of the gun line. The charging gun is connected to the charging port of the vehicle. If there is a problem with the charging port of the vehicle, there will be a little gap at the connection position, which will cause the charging gun head and the charging port to have poor contact and generate heat.
Gun line heating will cause current reduction at the least, and burn the charging port and charging gun head at the worst.
Therefore, for the gun head, we should also regularly check whether there are signs of burns. In addition, we should also regularly check whether there is any return at the connection position at the end of the charging gun line, which will also cause the gun line to heat up.

❸ Heating of the vehicle battery
The heating of the vehicle battery will also reduce the charging efficiency. Some masters found that the charging efficiency was particularly low after running the car back to the charging station on a hot day, and said that the charging pile was broken and could not charge normally. At this time, we need to compare whether the charging demand parameters of the vehicle are consistent with the output parameters provided by our charging pile. If they are consistent, it is because the vehicle protection has reduced the power. If they are inconsistent, the demand is greater than the parameters we output, and we need to check whether the module is damaged.
