In general, the average charging time of the battery is about 10 hours (the fast charging of the electric bull 1 only takes 2 hours, and the normal charging takes 6-8 hours). If the battery temperature exceeds 65°C during the charging process, the charging should be stopped.
2. Recharge every day
Even if your ability to continue is not long, you can use it for 2 to 3 days on a single charge, but it is still recommended that you charge it every day, so that the battery is in a shallow cycle state, and the life of the battery will be extended. Frequent discharge has a great impact on the life of the battery. Most chargers are fully charged after the indicator light changes to indicate that the battery charge may be 97%~99%. Although only 1%~3% of the undercharge is undercharged, the impact on the continuation ability is almost negligible, but it will also form an undercharge accumulation, so after the battery is fully charged, it is still possible to continue to float charge as much as possible, which is also good for inhibiting the sulfidation of the battery.
3. Protect the charger
The general instruction manual has instructions on the protection of the charger, many users do not have the habit of reading the manual, often in addition to the problem before thinking of looking for the manual, often too late, so it is very necessary to read the manual first. In order to reduce costs, the current charger basically does not do the design of vibration resistance, in this way, the charger is generally not placed in the trunk and basket of the electric bicycle, under special circumstances, it must be moved, and the charger must be packed in styrofoam to prevent the bumps of vibration. In addition, it should be noted that the ventilation of the charger should be maintained during charging, otherwise it will not only affect the life of the charger, but also may cause thermal drift and affect the charging state, which will cause damage to the battery. 4. Regular deep discharge
A regular deep discharge of the battery is also beneficial for "activating" the battery, which can slightly increase the capacity of the battery. The general approach is to periodically perform a sub-complete discharge of the battery. The method of full discharge is to ride the bike to the first undervoltage protection under normal load conditions on a flat surface. Note that we place special emphasis on the first undervoltage protection. After the first under-voltage protection of the battery, after a period of time, the voltage of the battery will rise and return to the non-under-voltage state, at this time, if the battery is used again, the damage to the battery is great. After the full discharge is completed, the battery is fully charged, and the battery capacity will be increased.
5. It is strictly forbidden to lose electricity during storage
It is strictly forbidden to be in a state of power loss when the battery is stored. The state of power deficit refers to the fact that the battery is not charged in time after use. When the battery is stored in a state of power loss, it is easy to sulfate, and the lead sulfate crystals adhere to the plates, which will block the ion channel, resulting in insufficient charging and a decrease in battery capacity. The longer the idle state, the more damaged the battery will be. Therefore, when the battery is not in use, it should be replenished once a month, so as to better maintain the health of the battery.
6. Avoid high-current discharge
When the electric vehicle starts, carries people, and goes uphill, try to avoid slamming on the accelerator, forming an instantaneous high-current discharge. High-current discharges can easily lead to lead sulfate crystallization, which damages the physical properties of the battery plates.
