EV Charging Considerations

Oct 30, 2023 Leave a message

1. Master the correct charging time

It takes longer to recharge the energy of a pure electric vehicle: it takes nearly 8 hours to fully charge a home charger, and 40 minutes to 80% if a fast charger is selected. Make it a habit to charge often, and don't wait for the power to get too low.

2. The battery should not be overcharged or discharged

Overcharging and discharging a battery can reduce its lifespan, and no product that uses a battery can be "over-discharged", and pure electric vehicles are no exception. Although the battery pack is designed with a protection system, if you often drive the car to a "red light" situation, it will definitely affect the life of the battery pack. And you need to stop charging immediately after being fully charged, which is actually the same as charging a mobile phone.

3. Avoid heating the charging plug when charging

Loose 220-volt power plug or charger output plug, oxidation of the contact surface and other phenomena will cause the plug to heat up, and too long heating time will cause the plug to short circuit or poor contact, damage to the charger and battery, and bring unnecessary losses. Therefore, when the above situation is found, the oxide should be removed or the connector should be replaced in time.
